Personal Narrative

It was just a quick snapshot in the middle of a hectic morning. Everyone was getting ready for Easter morning church, after a long morning of egg hunting; we were all in a sugar rush. I can remember my mom trying to get us three girls to hold still and this attempt failing significantly. I was so upset that I had to match my little sister, again, same as every other holiday. As soon as the candy came out, however, I was all smiles. When my mom was finally able to get us to hold still, we still managed to make a silly face or pose.
We are the three youngest out of a whopping eight. Because of the gap between the third and fourth child, us three have stuck together like glue our entire lives. This photo is nothing formal, no practiced posing, just a second out of our everyday routine, but that was how we were with each other; completely informal. Nothing has changed, except for our ages, but we are still the same silly and outrageous kids we were back then, which really is not all that long ago. Of course the years have given us more distance from each other, but we will always remain close.    
My two sisters and I had been playing with our grandma’s dolls all morning, before anyone else was even awake. Candy wrappers covered the floor, while the chocolate and sugar covered our faces. We had to keep very quiet because our mom was sleeping the next room over. We knew she would not approve of us eating so much candy so early in the morning. However, three loud girls and a great deal of energy soon woke her up and consequently began our punishment. We were extremely reticent all morning, hoping that we could regain our candy. Unfortunately, the only thing we obtained from that morning was getting sick.
Despite our punishment, it had been an exciting morning with Easter decorations all over the house. The entire family was together, not that that was an unusual occurrence, but that morning felt like home. The kind of feeling you get on Christmas morning when you...
