Personal Survival Guide
INTRODUCTION
Looks like I made it through the first nine weeks of school in one piece. These last nine weeks have been very interesting at times to say the least. This is my first time attending school online instead of attending a traditional campus. I always had my reservations of attending school online. I always used the excuse that I was not disciplined enough to stay on track. Axia College has resources that has helped me along the way. I have come up with a student survival guide that relates to the skills that I have gained. I will also continue to use the survival guide as a reference throughout my college career.
USING AXIA’S EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
The technological tools provided by Axia College have been a great asset in my learning experience. Axia’s educational resources have been made available to students in a digital and web based format. The University library is also a great tool for any type of research that needs to be done and contains articles that have been peer-reviewed. There are also tutorials about Axia College resources that I have used to understand how to maneuver through the website. I will continue to use the tools that have been made accessible to me by Axia College. The ability to download audio appendixes to be reviewed later, downloading my class syllabus, downloading course materials, accessing the University Library to view digital stories, and researching specific articles I may need online.
UPHOLDING ACADEMIC HONESTY
Students are expected to be honest and ethical in their school work. Axia College takes educational honesty very seriously. After reading Axia’s College academic policy, I became familiar with the academic policy and the understanding of having academic honesty. The main violation of an academic policy is plagiarizing.
