Philidelphia Experiment
As the student watches the movie, The Philadelphia Experiment, they get a sense of how disturbing a warp in the space time continuum might be to an individual.
At the beginning of the movie, two U.S. Navy sailors are spending time in 1943 with their spouses before they must go. They are going to board a ship which has on board an electromagnetic device of some sort. The device is designed and planned to produce an electromagnetic field which is supposed to make it invisible to radar. As the two sailors who control the device turn it on, the ship disappears as planned but the device also creates a hole in time. At this time, radiation begins plaguing the sailors. The two sailors panic and jump over board. This throws them through time until they land in a military testing ground in Nevada in the year 1984. The two wandered through the desert and found a gas station. Since they did not know what happened, they were very confused looking at all the modern day inventions.......
