For my paper, I will research what is needed to become a computer programmer. To conduct this research, I will start my looking in Proquest that is located in Ashford Library. In Proquest, I prefer to use articles that are full text and articles that are peer reviewed. I also will use some books that I have on the subject to conclude my research.
To start my paper, I will have a strong thesis and an introduction. This will define exactly what a computer programmer does. I will talk about language skills, math skills, and coding skills that are needed along with the types of programs that are programmers need to learn in order to get a job.
I will then move into how important it is to start this process while in high school. What classes you should be taking and grades that you should be getting as well. When you should start looking into Universities and what Universities are the best ones to attend.
Then I will discuss, working for a large corporation verses working for a small company. I will also talk about if consulting is right for you. Hours and vacations will also be discusses as a programmer.
Also discussed, will be the main two types of programmers. What the difference between the two is. Also the learning differences between the two types will be discussed. Salary is another item of interest as well.
To end my paper, I will have a strong conclusion. The conclusion will restate my thesis. It will also coordinate all information that I have included in my eight-page paper on the subject of computer programming.
