Abstract
The current case study examines if training on employees (users) would have an effect on implementation of new software into a running business unit. The result shows what criterion permit assistance to decide whether to offer training or not. As result, user training is a critical intervention to support the successful implementation of software innovations. It also reveals the necessity that management should back-up new developments in their area of operations with a plan. Change management is an important matter when employees facing new challenges such as job enrichments. To provide employees a sound basis for changes inside an organization, change management is precursor and responsible for all steps planned. Steps should be measureable and traceable for people involved.
As the case has a very complex structure and touches several topics of Organizational Behaviour, it seems reasonable to concentrate on two single topics. This statement concentrates on Learning/Training and Change Management. Other topics such as; Motivation, Group and Teamwork, Leadership, Communication, etc.. are not included in this statement.

Case
The BASF AG is a multinational with more than 95,000 employees in more than 150 production sites throughout the world. It calls itself “The Chemical Company”.
