Delivering furniture is not an easy job, but after two years of doing it, you get used to it.   Everything starts with planning your route.   Then, you have to get the furniture ready to be delivered and load it.   Finally, the furniture goes to the owner’s house.   These three steps sound easy, but they involve many things, it’s harder than you think.
Whenever you deliver furniture you have to plan your route, the easier the better.   Sometimes it’s better if you start your day going to your farthest point and be done closer to the warehouse, that way you don’t have to drive that much at the end of the day.   You also have to obey a time frame, which you set whenever you do your route.   The time frame can also be adjusted to what’s best for you, but usually everyone starts from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.   All this planning of your route and the time frame has to take place the day before the delivery so the warehouse can call the customers and tell them between what times they can expect their furniture to be delivered.
The day after you plan your route and time frame you have to deliver the furniture.   First, you check the furniture for damages, it’s very important to check for damages before you leave the warehouse.   If there’s any and you load the furniture and leave the warehouse, there’s no proof that the damage happened at the warehouse and not on the delivery truck, so you end up paying the price to fix it.   Whenever you find anything wrong with the furniture take it to the shop, the techs will know if it’s fixable, and, if it is, how to fix it.   Since the truck you are going to use to deliver all the furniture is big, the furniture has the risk of moving and hitting the floor, the walls, or other furniture.   When you load it, make sure you have pads to protect the furniture, just in case; you never know what can happen.   You also have to make sure you have enough space to accommodate everything in one trip, with the gas prices you don’t want to go back and...
