Should Religion be allowed in Public Schools?

For quite some time now, the debate over religion in public schools has raged on from School Board Meetings all the way up to the Supreme Court. The problem, as it were, has not gotten any better; both sides of the argument are becoming more and more determined to defeat the other. There have been numerous courts cases over the years that have proven and rebuked both sides, new laws passed, and even a constitutional amendment. All of these factors and more seem to have been overlooked, especially as of late. This whole controversy can be solved once and for all with a little bit of understanding, tolerance, and common sense. In this essay I will compare both sides along with their pros and cons and after covering all the facts I will state my feelings.
The argument to have religion in public schools is, in and of itself, not a bad idea. As stated by President Clinton back in July of 1995, "Schools do more then train......
