Gravity is the natural force of attraction exerted by a celestial body, such as Earth. Due to the objects around the surface it draws them to the center of the body. Sir Isaac Newton

was an English mathematician and physicist who lived from 1642-1727. Newton discovered gravity when he saw a apple falling from a tree while thinking about the forces of nature. Newton realized that some force must be acting on falling objects. Newton called this force “GRAVITY”. The members of the Solar System are the Asteroids, Comets and meteoroids. The 9 planets are Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Pluto, Uranus, Neptune and Earth. Our Solar system consist of nine planets . The four planets closest to the Sun are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and mars, these planets are called terrestrial planets because they have solid rocky surfaces. The four big planets beyond the orbit or Mars are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. These four planets are called gas giants. Pluto is the smallest planet and it has a solid but icier surface than the terrestrial planets. Mostly every planet and some of the moons has an atmosphere. Earths atmosphere is mostly nitrogen and oxygen. Venus has a thick atmosphere of carbon dioxide and a poisonous gas such as sulfur dioxide. Mars atmosphere consist of a thin layer of carbon dioxide. Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune have hydrogen and helium atmospheres. When Pluto is near the sun, it has a thin atmosphere so when it goes in regions other than its orbit, the atmosphere can freeze and collapse so in that way Pluto can be seen as a comet. The kind of orbits that planets have can be Circular orbit, Elliptical orbit or a Parabolic orbit. All of the planets and moons in our Solar System has an elliptical orbit or circular orbit. The solar system was formed from a rotating cloud of gas and gas which spun around a new star or sun at the center, the planets all formed around this rotation around the sun after they were formed. The Gravity...
