The Rhetoric In American Media

Today media has a much more control of our lives than we can imagine. It is almost everywhere and we don’t even notice it sometimes Media is a way of communicating with different people; this could be from sending messages rapidly to different parts of the world to shopping advertisements that influences our buying habits. There are different types of media that facilitates the use of communication vastly; examples are the newspaper, radio, T.V and the internet. Everyday more and more people are using these ways of communication in different ways. Media is very important in our lives; it is so powerful now that it holds a vital place in shaping our society and democracy. Therefore it is also important that it doesn’t affect us in a negative way. I believe that unfortunately the American media today has become more biased and commercialized.

Media is very important to us these days mainly because of its positive or negative influence on each and every person that it has a link to. It is found almost everywhere in this world today but it manages to remain merely hidden right in front of our eyes. As we know people have busy lives and it is virtually impossible for one to know everything that goes on around them, so it is very helpful to be updated about all things that are important to us. Hence it also becomes very important that the information you get is accurate. We are also in so much use of communication through media everyday that it is almost as if it controlled us and the decisions that we make People don’t always pay close attention to the informer of the message and intent to just trust the sources; so thereby risking themselves to be misled and probably into making wrong decisions.
