Riordan Manufacturing-Current Network
Riordan Manufacturing has buildings in China, San Jose, Albany, and Pontiac—with San Jose being the Corporate Headquarters.   There are 125 employees there, with the following breakdown of machines: Research and Development network has a 1 GB backbone. There are 15 MAC G5’s, 3 Phaser printers, and a HP Plotter. Hooked to this network is a switch to a satellite base station, which is connected to a VOIP/Data Router.   The VOIP/Data Router is connected to a 24 port Linksys hub to the 100 base T network. Another switch is used to connect the R & D network to a 100 base T network, which consists of WIN Network server, WIN Exchange server, UNIX ERP/MRP Server, and a NAS Iomega P800M. The other half of this network is 35 Dell Optiflex computers. 12 are located in the Corp., and 8 in Marketing.   These 20 computers are hooked to a 24 port Cisco switch. Finance has 8 computers, and HR has 7, which are hooked up to the other 24 port Cisco switch. Both 24 port Cisco switches are hooked to the 100 base T network.   Also hooked to the 100 base T network are 35 IP phones, and a VOIP/Data Router.   The VOIP/Data Router is connected to a T1 line to the outside network.
In Albany, GA, there are 20 Compaq Presario computers and 2 HP LaserJet V’s connected via cat5 cable to a 48 port patch panel—which is then connected to two Nortel Baystack switches.   There is a Compaq Proliant Fileprint Server, Exchange Server, and 2 HP UNIX Servers (one UNIX-ERP, and one UNIX-MRPII). These servers are connected to the two Nortel Baystack switches, and also go to a 24 port Nortel Baystack switch, to the manufacturing floor.   The two 24 port Nortel Baystack switches are 100Mbps switches that are connected to a Cisco Router, that is then connected to a Kentrox Datasmart 658 CSU/DSU that has a fractional T1 line connected to...
