Small Town Love
In the year 2007, in a small town of Pollock, Louisiana, there was a girl named Lizzie. Lizzie wasn’t necessarily headed down the wrong path, but she definitely wasn’t where she should have been. She thought that she was in love with a guy about two years back and they broke up, and she was devastated. Lizzie thought she would never find love; she dated different guys and never quite found the one she was looking for, until one young man, Nathan, swept her off of her feet.
It all started a year ago when Lizzie met Nathan and she liked him. But, Nathan ended up dating a girl that used to be one of her good friends. Then Nathan got back together with the girl he had been dating for like two and a half years, Lou, well that ended up not working out. Then Lizzie’s best friend Leah started dating Lizzie’s cousin Bryan, who is also Lou’s cousin but on a different side, Lizzie started hanging out at Bryan’s house and Nathan and Bryan were good friends so Nathan was always there.
After hanging out together every weekend, Lizzie and Nathan became best friends and neither one of them ever thought anything would come of it until Nathan asked Lizzie if she liked him. Lizzie thought about it and then told him yes. So Lizzie went home and was telling her mom, Claire, how sweet he was and how good of a friend and Claire stopped her and said, “ he is to old for you so ya’ll better not be anything more than friends.” Lizzie was crushed. She told Nathan and Nathan was probably just as heartbroken as she was. Lizzie got to thinking and said, “ Maybe if we don’t tell anybody we can still go out.” Nathan was a little iffy but agreed.
Since Lizzie and Bryan were cousins Bryan brought some of his friends to New Years gathering at their other cousins house. All went well except Nathan claims that Lizzie’s mother kept giving him dirty looks. After the family left Nathan and Lizzie stayed outside talking...
