Throughout the movie A River Runs Through It, we see many examples of situations where communicative interactions between family members, that affect the social construction of the actors involved, and how they each choose different ways to communicate with others. The relationship between the oldest brother Norman and his brother Paul is a great example of the Interactional View. This brother-brother relationship plays an important part throughout the entire movie. Each brother demonstrates and holds two completely different rules and norms, for which they choose to live by.
The communicative interaction between Norman and Paul in the beginning of the movie is distinctly known that the two boys are allies in everything they do. They play together, they go into town, laugh, talk to the same people, and enjoy the same things, especially fly fishing. But as the story unfolds, it is obvious that each boy holds very different values, and it is very distinctive in how the two boys......
