Strategic Change Management Within Nokia
Nokia are on of the (if not the) leading mobile phone brands in the world. This article describes briefly the position Nokia was in a little over 10 years ago and goes on to explain in great detail the factors, which Nokia attribute much of their success to today. It concentrates on their Human Resource Strategy especially in relation to Strategic Change Management, their attitude and approach to technological change and their learning and motivation techniques.
A little over 10 years ago, Nokias penetration into the market of mobile phones in Finland was about 5 to 6 percent. They employed 2,000 people around that time. Today, the penetration level in Finland is close to 50 percent and they employ 16,000 people. Penetration levels exceed 25 percent in at least 9 other markets around the world. Nokia believe that this explosive growth in terms of both profit and headcount is owing to a stable set of corporate values.
So what are the 4 Nokia values?

· Continuous learning
It is clear upon reading the article in its entirety that Nokia always try to improve on their execution of these values through continuous learning, innovation, communication and changing for the better.
When we look at the targets for change; we look at 4 different levels:

· Organizational capabilities
