1.2 Population
The population of UK is increasing generally and the population growth rate is 0.29%. Currently, the population of UK has increased to 60,270,708 in total. In the last decade, there was a 3.2% increase during this period. There are two reasons which lead to the growth of population. Firstly, the number of births has already exceeded the number of deaths. Another reason is net international migration into the UK from abroad made the population increased greatly. According to the information, the UK population is projected to continue to grow.

The consumer expenditure on fish is 2,396,000 tones in 2003. Meanwhile, the population of UK is 59.6 million. So the result is about 40 kilo per capital per year.
