Company Description
Superior Hockey Centers, Inc. ("SHC"), a California based company, will develop and operate recreational and performance enhancing skating venues in select markets where there is a demonstrated demand, a lack of competition, and where SHC can capitalize on its industry expertise and relationships to secure long-term commitments for the use of its facilities prior to initiating development; thereby mitigating much of the risk of entering into these markets.
As planned, each facility will include two NHL size skating rinks, locker and practice facilities, a "dry land" training area (incorporating SuperIce® patented skating surface), administrative offices, a retail component and food and beverage facilities.
SHC facilities will be approximately 67,000 square feet (including 34,000 sq. ft. ice rink space) on approximately 4-5 acres of land. At this stage, we are anticipating construction and land acquisition costs of around $4.5 million per location (obviously, this figure will vary based on market conditions and variations in project design).
SHC will professionally manage and operate each of its facilities. Management's primary directive is to maintain the highest level of service to the consumer within a modern state-of-the-art environment, complete with all of the ancillary services, products and amenities that any level of skater will require.
SHC will continuously pursue new markets and expansion opportunities that demonstrate the specific stated market characteristics. SHC will strive to provide "destination" attractions to these markets that have been generally overlooked by competitors, and SHC will make these markets financially attractive by three major means:
1.) Pre-leasing ice time for 10-20 year periods to local organizations.
