The movie called "The Godfather" part one, Is a very interesting one, it shows how an immigrant family chooses organize constituted of mostly man, chooses organize crime as a mean of daily living. The family members all have specific roles, and represent the different and mainly bad aspects of society. In here their organization is mainly based on business, the offer protection to the injustices of society to local shops who may have one or two enemies due to the fact of competition. The protection that they sell is that of insuring that no enemy will bother them and if they did, the "Godfather" will send one of his mans to eliminate that person causing all the trouble. They don't talk much, specially the "Godfather" who maintains his talk to a minimum and tell the others what to do just by looking at them of performing a hand gesture.
The way organize crime works is by following that dark path of society, the one no-one chooses because of the lowness of the acts it is subject to make the individual follow. The way they choose to call this organizations is not how we classified them today, for organize crime, the term used among the members in it, is called "Family" which pretty well suites them since most of the members al also family members. The relationship I see in this is that they all feel a sense of protection when they know who is in charge. Although in "The Godfather" the story represents an organize crime family, the trick of their success in performing their mischievous acts is by not letting the other members of "the family" know everything that was going on. This played a mayor role during the whole development of the movie when things started to fall apart due to envy of other "families" who were in competition for power and territory in this mischievous business.
