The "Chaco Phenomenon"

Mexico is the 47th state and the 5th largest state in the union at 120,000 square miles. It has very different ecological regions throughout the land including: grasslands, deserts, mountains, rivers, etc. During New Mexico's history many groups of people had passed through, especially, when those known as the Anasazi dwelled in the four corners region of New Mexico. The state of New Mexico has a great history behind it. The people of New Mexico were once hunters and gatherers but adopted the ways of the later basket makers. Chaco Canyon then arose after the Pueblo periods and inside this canyon was a great civilization. Mysteries of what had happened to the Anasazi still remain today. The "Chaco Phenomenon" was one of the great inquiries of professors, teachers, and archaeologists today.
