Touch Of Evil
Orson Welles's Touch of Evil tells about Mike Vargas, a Mexican narcotics agent, who finds himself at the scene of a murder in a small border town of Los Robles. Mike then becomes involved in the investigation and comes across the American detective in charge of the case, Hank Quinlan. Hank is a large man who is very corrupt. Hank acts on hunches that he claims come from his bum leg.
There are four main characters in this movie, Mike Vargas, the Mexican detective, Susan Vargas, Mike's wife, Hank Quinlan, the American detective in charge of the murder investigation, and Pete Menzies, Hank's partner. The movie opens up with a camera shot of a car crossing the Mexican border going into America. Just after the car crosses the border, it explodes. Hank suspects that it was the work of a Mexican shoe clerk but he cannot prove it, so Hank plants evidence. Mean while, Mike Vargas suspects it's the work of the Grandi family.
