Introduction:
Have you ever thought about the truth about lying? And why people tend to lie and when? Some people never say the truth, while some people are very honest and others lie sometimes and on different occasions. Some are forced to tell lies because of their positions and their job environment. For example, some politicians may hide the truth from the public to avoid rebellions. Also, some salespersons try to market their products just for the sake of selling them. Attorneys may defend criminals just to be paid, ignoring the fact that these criminals are threats to the society.   Sometimes telling the truth may hurt. For example, a husband sometimes cannot tell his wife the truth that she cannot cook well. This topic has many perspectives that need to be clarified such as the reasons behind lying, the motives that encourage people to lie, how often people lie, and whom they lie to.
Some studies showed that sex differences are important when speaking about the reasons that make people lie, and in measuring how often people lie. Women are known for being more social than men. Because of that, they tend to participate in many discussions and conversations. If communicating with the same sex, people tend to be more opened and honest, while interacting with the opposite sex creates some borders and affect the credibility of the conversation or the interaction. We always hear or believe that women tell lies more than men but, did you know that some studies showed that men lies more than women? It is also believed that women's emotions and intimacy affect their honesty. They are very concerned about others feelings and trying not to hurt anybody.  
 
There are many reasons that explain why people lie. Some say that it is human nature and social life.   Others say that lying is a behaviour that occurs in some incidents. But, did you know that there are some psychological and physical reasons behind this kind of behaviour?
