McCain vs. Obama
McCain is the most qualified applicant for the presidential campaign. Not only has he served in the Senate for a much longer term than Obama, he also claims that he will appoint judges who interpret the law, not make it. He also supports offshore drilling, which will in turn lower our gas prices over time. He supports gun ownership rights and served in the U.S. Armed Forces. McCain has also proposed that most of the taxes stay where they are right now, save a few tax breaks, while Obama plans on almost doubling income tax and restoring the inheritance tax. Obama also plans on more than doubling the dividend tax and raising the capital gains tax from zero percent to a whopping twenty eight percent. McCain is the better candidate because he is a straight shooter, who is looking out for the people and not himself.
McCain is more qualified when it comes to experience. McCain has served twenty two years for the senate, while Obama has only served 173 days. Some might say that experience isn’t everything in a candidate. Personally I would rather have someone with adequate experience serving the country, and making important decisions. It would be like taking someone who rides a bike and putting them in a eighteen wheeler and letting them hit I-5.A little scary isn’t it. McCain’s experience over Obama is shown most when it comes to the war in Iraq.
Senator McCain has supported the war since the beginning. In 2002 McCain voted to support the war in Iraq and to authorize the use of armed forces. McCain supports our troops and the war but had criticized the recent management. If McCain becomes the next president of the United states he plans on maintaining our forces over seas which the majority of the troops are in favor of.
