Seditions- or dichostasia (deekhostaseeh) in Greek means disunion, dissension or division. Division means disagreement or the state of being divided or separated.

Webster's definition of seditions means- incitement of resistance to or of insurrection (revolt/rebellion) against lawful authority.

· A synonym (another word with the same meaning) for sedition is treason. Treason is a breach of allegiance, loyalty or obligation of fidelity (faithfulness), and obedience to a sovereign or government.
