No one likes war. All it ever did was just reduce the population of a country. During World War II hundred thousands of people lost there life's for there country. Many people were against the war. Many artists were against the war. Also many people were traumatized from the war. On he contrary, many people were with the war and thought it was the best to do. People protested against the war. Many people wrote bout the war. Those who wrote about the war were manly speaking of how it was one of the worst experiences they've ever been through. The government really cared bout was gaining power and proving to other countries that they're greater. War is never the answer. Like the bumper sticker says. It proves nothing but how many people you can kill.
Wilfred Owen, a poet who survived World War II, writes about his battle sciences and points out a person in his poems. He writes out of being traumatized from the war the stuff he's seen. The horror and pain soldiers went through in war. From the ages of 18 and over young boys losing there lives. Some who even didn't want to be there. In his poems for example, Disabled, he talks about a soldier who has lost his legs at war sits that regrets going and it shows. He strolls down the street during a parade when there cheering him on without knowing he regrets fighting for his country got him no where in life but on a wheeled chair with any legs. In the poem Anthem for Doomed Youth he talks about how the soldiers went off to war with a parade. They walked down with smiles on the faces but inside it were a good-bye a good-bye forever. While they were at war there was no parade no people cheering and no bells for them just the sound of guns and bombs exploding. In the poem The Last Laugh it explains how soldiers are under fire and some that are hit are crying the Jesus there parents or there loved ones.
